My new project focuses on Nature as this is something that I recently began to take an interest, as a landscape photographer I am not used to focusing on such small elements of a scene. This will also be one of my final projects using my current camera as I have decided to upgrade in order to produce better quality raw images before editing.

It wasn't until I finished the project that I realised how many of the images were taken in landscape rather than portrait. I felt that I was struggling to focus on one object within a scene whilst allowing the other elements to lay in the background and I didn't want to use high apertures to do this. As I lost too much of the background in the process.

The Docks at the Thurmaston Locks are where my path lead me too, I love this place. You can capture some great shots during 'magic hour' in the evening.

This was the end of my walk which took me to a quaint little pub called 'The White Horse'. Comments and feedback are appreciated, looking forward to testing out my new camera. More to come soon.
